About the Director
Ismet Sijarina (Director/Scriptwriter) is a filmmaker and scriptwriter living in Prishtina, Kosovo. Beside directing short films, Ismet was focused on documentary films as well. He's documentary "Beyond the rainbow" had its premiere in Sarajevo Film Festival was greatly accepted by audience and critics, and showed that, Ismet brought an original and auteur approach.
His projects were shown, in many European film festivals, such as Karlovy Vary film fest (students' competition 2002), Sarajevo film fest, Dogma film fest, Cinema tout ecran, Tirana film festival, Nine eleven film festival, Rome international film fest (USA), Dokufest etc. Since 2006, he works as an Associated Professor in the University of Prishtina, Film Directing Program.
As young artist, he is considered to have brought a fresh approach on filmmaking in Kosovo. In april 2018, he completed his first feature film "Cold November", supported by Kosovo Cinematography Center, and Albanian film center.
